Hi, I’m Lois

Traded Sword for Needle & Saw

Love the Sparkle of the Crystal

After over 30 years defending the USA, I started creating beadwork and metalwork jewelry.

I had traveled internationally to create centers of defense support. After retiring, I settled in Delaware, to start a different creative chapter, inspired and insisted on by local artists.

One Bead at a Time

I am passionate about beadwork, so much so that I have mastered over 12 beading stitches and 5 variations. I have added silver and copper to some of my jewelry, and am doing multi dimensional wall art with these materials.

 How fla. ‘Bling’…os was born

I was enjoying my hobby. Then a dear fellow artist saw my work and presented me with the “3 flablingos painting.” She and her partner encouraged me to sell my hand crafted products. Thus fla…Blingos fine jewelry was born.

I started small, selling at Church bazaars and local craft shows, Then I was able to move to art leagues, and was recognized in our local newspaper.

I now sell at art shows, online, and do commission works.

My bench for garden enjoyment

Waiting for the Hummers

I am fortunate to have a large lovely garden with a wide variety of birds.

Humming birds come in the Spring. Bluejays and Robins stick around throughout the year. Wrens and finches set up nests in the bird houses. Woodpeckers demand their share of seed cakes.

Garden path to the Bench

The birds and I made a contract. I take care of their needs, by providing a safe chemical-free garden of bushes, trees, bird houses, food, and water. The birds rid my yard of the bugs and insects that bother me, so I can enjoy sitting on my bench in the garden.

Even through major changes in my life, I still come back to beadwork and metalwork, bringing calm to me and beauty to my work.
